The European Human Genetics Conference 2023 (ESHG 2023), Glasgow, United Kingdom, 10/06/2023-13/06/2023 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 27 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The daily credit breakdown is as follows:

  • June 10, 2023: 8 credits
  • June 11, 2023: 8 credits
  • June 12, 2023: 8 credits
  • June 13, 2023: 3 credits

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

How to claim credits?

In-person Participants

To claim CME credits in-person participants will need to scan their badges daily at the CME station located next to the General Information Desk and additionally answer the respective session evaluations, found in the virtual conference platform, by September 10, 2023 at 23:59 CEST (each evaluation will be available once the respective live session has concluded).

To accumulate credits over the conference, delegates will need to participate in sessions from different programme slots from June 10-13, 2023. If they wish to accumulate the full amount possible for the day, they will need to participate and answer the evaluations of at least one session per programme slot.

Below you can find an overview of the maximum credits that participants can claim per programme slot.

Online Only Participants

To claim CME credits online only participants will need to watch the respective sessions and additionally answer the respective session evaluations, found in the virtual conference platform, by September 10, 2023 at 23:59 CEST (each evaluation will be available once the respective live session has concluded).

To accumulate credits over the conference, delegates will need to participate in sessions from different programme slots from June 10-13, 2023. If they wish to accumulate the full amount possible for the day, they will need to participate and answer the evaluations of at least one session per programme slot.

Sunday

  • 08:30-10:00: 2 credits
  • 10:30-12:00: 2 credits
  • 14:00-15:30: 2 credits
  • 17:00-18:30: 2 credits

Monday

  • 8:30-10:00: 2 credits
  • 10:30-12:00: 2 credits
  • 14:00-15:30: 2 credits
  • 17:00-18:30: 2 credits

Tuesday

  • 09:00-10:30: 1 credits
  • 11:00-12:30: 1 credits
  • 13:30-14:15: 1 credit

Note: Participants will not be able to accumulate multiple credits from sessions taking place in parallel.

CME credits for the on-demand period (June 14 to September 10, 2023)

It is still possible to accomulate CME points during the on-demand period. To claim your points, you will need to watch the recording of the presentation of interest and then answer the respective session evaluation in which this presentation took place.

Note that the amount of credits that can be claimed are based on the live programme slots mentioned above. Participants will not be able to accumulate multiple credits from sessions taking place in parallel.
